Dr Kirk Kauffeld
Dr Kauffeld's Background
Dr. Kirk Kauffeldt has over thirty-five years of experience in Christian higher education administration and teaching. Following ten years of service at Trinity Western University (BC Canada) and completion of his Doctoral studies at the University of Toronto. The title of Dr Kauffeldt’s thesis is: The Commission for Higher Education in Kenya: A Case Study regarding the establishment, role and operations of an intermediary body in the Higher Education System of a developing nation. Dr Kauffeldt served internationally in executive roles at universities in Kenya, Indonesia, and Lithuania and also plays a leadership role at GlobalEd, the equipping programme of PAOC Mission Global, which supports the work of PAOC theological education and leadership initiatives around the world. His teaching focus is leadership studies. He also fulfils a prominent role at the Summit Pacific College.

Dr Jacques van Bommel
Dr Jacques Background
Dr Jacques van Bommel brings over 30 years of distinguished experience in ministry leadership, entrepreneurial development, and training. He holds a Doctorate in Missional Leadership (MA equivalent) from Trinity Bible College and Graduate School.
A native South African raised in Pretoria, Dr van Bommel completed his National Service in 1993 and immediately entered full-time ministry, initially serving children and youth within a local church context. In 1998, he assumed the role of Assistant Director at Jackson’s Ridge Children’s Ministry Training Centre, where he served faithfully for five years.
In response to a clear calling from the Lord in 2003, Dr van Bommel founded Reaching a Generation, an NGO dedicated to equipping local churches across South Africa to disciple children more effectively. Under his visionary leadership, the organisation has flourished, empowering children’s ministry leaders, volunteers, and pastors throughout South Africa, and extending its impact into Zambia and Namibia.
By 2018, following extensive investment in developing contextually relevant materials and resources tailored to the unique needs of African children—while simultaneously equipping church volunteers, leaders, and pastors—Reaching a Generation leveraged this strong foundation to launch the development of a dedicated Higher Education Institute. This initiative reflects Dr van Bommel’s ongoing commitment to advancing biblical training and leadership development for the next generation of ministry servants in our continent.
